Yernaliz Martinez-Valdez is the Lead paralegal at Leventhal Elias Law. She handles the majority of your estate planning document execution follow-up. Yernaliz carefully prepares the Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Advance Directives for our clients to ensure that our clients’ planning goals are met; it is critical to Yernaliz that the documents be prepared to our clients’ specifications and presented in a timely manner. Yernaliz also assists clients in preparing deeds and transferring assets to create new Trust accounts.

Furthermore, Yernaliz is key to our firm’s Medicaid team, as she manages the completion of the Medicaid application process with Danielle Elias, Esq. and So Young Kim, Esq. She organizes the client’s financial records, and advises on the transactions needed to meet Medicaid income and resource criteria. She always has a compassionate ear for our clients who are working through the many issues to be handled in creating a successful care plan for our elder law clients and their caregiver family members.

Yernaliz is a graduate of Hunter College, and lives with her family in Staten Island, NY. She was born and raised in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Yernaliz brings her many years of childcare and education experience to Leventhal Elias Law. We count on her ability to operate efficiently and speak clearly when working with difficult tasks.
